HRANA News Agency – Hassan Kamal Ramadan, Syrian political prisoner who had been held in solitary confinement with handcuffs and shackles for five days from April 16, 2016 and had been beaten by prison officials of Orumiyeh Central Prison during this period, has registered a complaint in this regard.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), after beating political prisoner from Syria, Hassan Kamal Ramadan for five days by the officials and the guard of ward in the solitary confinement in Orumiyeh Central Prison with handcuffs and shackles, the prisoner sued these individuals through his lawyer.
A source close to the political prisoner by announcing the news in an interview with reporters of HRANA said: “Mr. Kamal Ramadan has been beaten with handcuffs and shackles by the warden Saeed Safari and the guard named “Amir Qara Baghi” and the officials of Orumiyeh Central Prison and the case will be followed by his lawyer.”
HRANA had reported previously that following an argument the political prisoner was transferred to the solitary confinement and during this period had been beaten while being handcuffed and shackled by “Safari”, prison warden and prison officials named “Amir Garebaghi and Zakavakan”. He eventually was returned to the general ward.
Hassan Kamal Ramadan, the Syrian-born prisoner in Orumieh prison was arrested by the IRGC intelligence agents on charge of acting against the national security by cooperating with the PKK in 2014.
