HRANA News Agency – Within the past few days, Nana Badrian was released from women’s ward of Evin prison. On the other hand, her husband, Andrea Vartanyan was transferred to ward 4 in Evin prison. The Christian couple from Tajikistan had been detained over a month ago by the intelligence ministry.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), within the past few days, Nana Badrian Christian from Tajikistan was released from women’s ward of Evin prison.

On the other hand, her husband, Andrea Vartanyan was transferred to ward 4 in Evin prison.

The details of the case and the charges of the Christian couple from Tajikistan are still not known.

Nana Badrian and Andre Vartanyan, Christian couple from Tajikistan had been arrested respectively on January 23, 2017 and January 13, 2017 by the intelligence ministry.

A source close to the couple told HRANA’s reporter, “Mr. Vartanyan was the landowner of a church in Tehran but the reason for his arrest is unclear.”
