Shahram Chinian transferred back to the public ward

HRANA News Agency – Shahram Chinian is transferred back to the public ward after spending 6 days in solitary confinement.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shahram Chinian had protested at the offensive behavior of the prison guards with the other prisoners and was transferred to the solitary confinement on June 25th.
He had been transferred from the political prisoners’ section at Rajai Shahr Prison to section 1 where the “dangerous” prisoners are being kept on May 28th.
Shahram Chinian was arrested in February 2009 and released on the bail after almost a year. He was under arrest at the Evin prison during that time.
He has been sentenced to 8 years in prison by branch 28 of the revolutionary court. He was arrested again in January 2011, while his case was still in the appeal court.
