HRANA News Agency – Afshin Baymani, the political prisoner of hall number 12 of Rajai Shahr prison of Karaj is still deprived of medical furlough, despite the authority’s consent.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), this political prisoner who has spent more than 13 years in prison had a heart attack on Saturday, December 7.
On his second heart attack, he was transferred to Imam Khomeini hospital and after two days and without proper medical treatment sent back to prison.
Now, after three months, and despite the approval of authorities, including coroner, he has not receive medical furlough yet.
Afshin Baymani is the political prisoner of hall number 12 of Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj, was arrested on September 5, 2000, on charge of helping his brother, Mehdi Baymani, to escape, and was sentenced to death.
This sentenced confirmed on court of appeal, but reduced to lifetime prison after 6 years.
Afshin Baymani is in critical health condition
