Ali Qadiri Sentenced to Imprisonment in Two Separate Cases

HRANA News Agency – Ali Qadiri who had been detained in recent protests in Tabriz, was sentenced to suspended imprisonment in two separate cases.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Qadiri was sentenced to one year suspended imprisonment and 6 months imprisonment in two separate cases. 

Mr. Qadiri who had been arrested by security agencies during protests in January 2018, was sentenced to three months imprisonment on charge of “disrupting public order through participating in illegal gatherings” by Branch 103 of Tabriz Penal Court. According to the verdict, this has been suspended for one year.

He was also sentenced to 6 months imprisonment on charge of “propaganda against the regime” by Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court in Tabriz.
