HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi’s father in an interview with HRANA announced that the confessions of his son in a video which had been released at the media in Iran were false and the confessions were taken from the prison and under the threat of execution. On the other hand, Arash Sadeghi is still held in prison despite the prosecutor’s claim about sending him to the hospital. He was breathing by the oxygen device at night on January 4, 2017. Doctors had announced the prison system and Iranian Revolutionary Guards had prevented them from sending the prisoner to a hospital.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Arash Sadeghi, political prisoner in ward eight of Evin prison due to shortness of breath and blood pressure of 6 to 8 was transferred to the prison infirmary. He was injected serum and breathed by the oxygen device on January 4, 2017.
Arash Sadeghi’s lung condition has deteriorated. Doctors had expressed concerns about the physical condition of Arash Sadeghi and announced that the prison system and Iranian Revolutionary Guards had prevented him from being sent to a hospital.
Arash Sadeghi’s father in an interview with HRANA announced about the video which had been released in the media in Iran and accused the political prisoner to release false information, “The old video was recorded during his first detention by the IRGC which was recorded after four months in prison.”
In relation to the claims which were raised in this video against Arash Sadegh, he said: “These are completely false and I confirm that I had an interview with Ms. Alinezhad and the released voice belongs to me” and announced, “Arash was threatened by interrogators. He is in critical condition in the film. His wife was accused of burning the Koran which is punishable by death.”
Mr. Sadeghi in the end said, “I call on the authorities to take my son to the hospital as soon as possible. Prosecutor ordered to transfer Arash to the hospital but I do not know what factors prevented this. Arash had called me on January 5, 2017 and could not speak well.”
