HRANA News Agency – The trial of three members of Atena Daemi’s family was held in Shahid Moghadas Court in Evin Prison. Two sisters and one of the brothers in law of this family attended the hearing. According to the interrogator, the brother in law was acquitted and Atena’s two sisters were released on the bail after being charged.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the trial of two sisters of Atena Daemi and her brother in law was held in Branch 4 of Shahid Moghadas Court on January 23, 2017.
According to the prosecutor in this Branch, Ensieh and Haniyeh Daemi were charged with “preventing the implementation of warrants and insulting the authorities”, and were released on a bail of 400 million IRR, and her brother in law, Hossein Fatehi, was acquitted of the accusation.
The bail was deposited in the presence of the family’s lawyer, and they were released temporarily.
HRANA had reported recently that in the wake of a new case against Atena Daemi, imprisoned human rights activist in Evin prison, three members of her family, including two sisters and a brother in law, had been summoned to Shahid Moghadas Court in Evin Prison on December 27, 2016.
Earlier, Atena Daemi had written an “Open Defence”, explaining the charges issued by Sarullah Guards, in a news case against her. Ms. Daemi explained the illegal behavior by the forces and their forming of a new false case against her.
