HRANA News Agency – The case of Mostafa Salimi, death row political prisoner, has been under investigation from three years ago. He started his fifteenth year of imprisonment and was exiled last year from Saghez prison to Sanandaj Central Prison. This issue has created many problems for him and his family. It is to say that the reason for the exile had been announced as; “long-term endured imprisonment”.

HRANA News Agency – Sunni prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison who have been deported from different areas of the country to the prison, are discriminated against and mistreated at the time of prison visits. It has been reported that the inspection of families is being done violently especially for young children which scared them.

HRANA News Agency – Maulavi Fazlurahman Koohi, Sunni Friday prayers’ Imam in Pishamag, and director of a seminary in this city, was arrested by the SCC in Mashhad. His arrest, who is opposing Iranian Sunni people’s involvement in the war in Syria, has created an unprecedented wave of protests in the region of Baluchistan. These protests which have begun with the road closures, assembly, strike and closure of business sites, have led to some rare issues, such as; returning weapons by the Sunni members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mulavi Fazlurahman Koohi is the Sunni Friday prayer’s Imam in Pishamag, in the city of Sarbaz, and principal of Anvarulharamein seminary in this city. HRANA News Agency – The Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists Association of Iran has published the following monthly report on the human rights situation in Iran during the period of Apr-May, 2017 (Persian calendar month of Ordibehesh, 1396). This report cannot perfectly and comprehensively reflect the details of human rights concerns in Iran for obvious reasons including the existing governmental limitations and ban on the free exchange of information. It should be noted that in addition to the monthly reports, the Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists Association of Iran publishes a comprehensive and analytical annual report at the end of each year. HRANA News Agency – On April 8, 2017, a prisoner who had been charged with possession and transportation of drugs was executed in Parsilon prison in Khorram Abad. Another prisoner with the same charge and sentence, was transferred to solitary confinement with him, who returned to the ward and was not executed.

HRANA News Agency – On April 5, 2017, the death sentence of a prisoner charged with “murder” was carried out after serving four years in prison in Tabriz Central Prison. The prisoner was dismissed from military service before the murder because of his mental illness.

HRANA News Agency – Ismail Abdi, trade unionist and Yousef Emadi, imprisoned artist in ward 350 of Evin prison, in a letter to the head of Evin Prison, warned him about the worsening health condition of imprisoned activist Arash Sadeghi in this ward and called for addressing his situation and sending him to the hospital. Mr. Sadeghi suffered from numerous medical problems after the hunger strike and is being deprived of receiving adequate medical treatment.

HRANA News Agency – Foad Rezazadeh, Sunni prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison is in critical physical condition because of the impact the recent hunger strike. The prisoner whose digestive system was damaged as well as his kidney is still being deprived of necessary medical services.
A close source to Mr. Rezazadeh told HRANA’s reporter about his physical condition, “Mr. Rezazadeh’s hunger strike effected his digestive system and kidneys.
