HRANA News Agency – Following the protests in various cities of Azerbaijan and Ardebil provinces in response to an article which was published in the newspaper of “Tarhe No”, a wave of arresting protesters in these cities began. Gradually, the identities of some of them who were arrested or sent to judicial centers have been verified: Nasim Sadeghi in Tabriz and Mohamamd Jolaei, Hossein Balakhani, and Ahmad Mohammadzadeh in Ardebil are the activists who were released on the bail recently. However it has been reported that Babak Hosseini Moghaddam was arrested in Tabriz.

3 Political Prisoners Returned from Solitary Confinements
HRANA News Agency – Saleh Kohandel, Pirooz Mansouri and Afshin Baymani are three political prisoners who had been violently transferred to solitary confinements of the IRGC, came back to the ward after 5 days. The wave of executions in Rajai Shahr had rosen serious concerns about the fate of these prisoners.

Prison Guard Raids Sunni Prisoners’ Ward in Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – Sunni prisoners of hall 21 in ward 7 of Rajai Shahr prison have gone on hunger strike to protest against the execution of at least 20 Sunni prisoners. In a tense atmosphere in this prison, the prison guards attacked the prisoners and beat them, destructed and seized their property, and threatened them with further executions. Prison officials kept them handcuffed, shackled and blindfolded for nearly 7 hours in the sun and the heat in the prison yard.

HRANA News Agency – New reports indicate that only 5 of 7 prisoners who had been transferred to solitary confinements in Central Prison of Uremia were executed this morning. The executions of a woman and a man were postponed for unknown reasons.

Mohammad Abdollahi’s Family Is Not Allowed to Receive His Body
HRANA News Agency – When Mohammad Abdollahi’s family went to Uremia Prison to receive his corpse, the authorities confirmed the execution but refused to deliver the body. They were told that they were not allowed to hold a funeral in any mosque and they would not receive the corpse.

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Abdollahi, political prisoner and 5 drug offenders were executed today in Central Prison of Uremia. Mohammad Abdollahi’s lawyer had insisted on his client’s innocence and asked the authorities to halt the execution.

Families of Death Row Prisoners Gathered in front of Uremia Prison
HRANA News Agency – The families of 7 prisoners who are scheduled to be executed tomorrow have gathered in front of Uremia Prison. The authorities have told them: “Don’t gather here. We’ll call you to come and receive the corpses.” Some have been reported to be arrested in this gathering. The authorities have threatened the families that if they would have contact with the media, they would not receive the corpses.
