HRANA News Agency – The guards of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj have beaten a prisoner who informed other prisoners about the presence and intrusive inspection of prison guards by nosing. It is reported that in addition to apparent injury, his hands and feet have probably been broken. He was left in the middle of the prison hall in the same situation. Prison officials said that he was not allowed to go to the health clinic of prison and no one has the right to help him.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the guards of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj went to ward 4, Hall 11 of the prison in order to inspect it at 6.30 am on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Cold Weather and Lack of Basics in Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj
HRANA News Agency – The political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj who were forced to move to the security halls earlier in August, have faced double problems such as denial of proper nutrition, lack of hot water for bathing and defective heating systems along with the arrival of the cold season. Prison authorities have suggested to them to forget their rights such as principle of separation of crimes in order to have basic facilities.

Arash Sadeghi in a Critical Health Condition in Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi who has been exiled to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj, after two months since he has been transferred from Evin to this prison, is still in a poor health condition and is denied of having access to health care services. This prisoner who has undergone a long hunger strike and needs serious medical and nutritional treatment under the supervision of a doctor, while in prison, is serving his term of imprisonment and is still deprived of meeting his wife, Glorokh Irai.

Alireza Golipour Ended Hunger Strike after 54 Days
HRANA News Agency- Alireza Golipour who had already been on hunger strike in protest against the procedure of his case, ended his hunger strike on Sunday December 10, after 54 days, due to deterioration of his condition and in light of the authorities’ promise to handle his case. However, due to a long strike and his chronic disease, he was physically weak and he is already in a hospital. According to Mr. Golipour’s lawyer, this prisoner suffers from epilepsy, digestive diseases and heart problems.

Pressures Increase on Political Prisoners in Zahedan Prison
HRANA News Agency – After prisoners protested against the inappropriate situation of the Central Prison of Zahedan and the intrusive presence of inspectors of the prisons of the country, Zahedan Central Prison authorities have increased their pressure on prisoners in Ward 3, who are mostly political prisoners. By banning family visits and their phones, and exposing prisoners to extreme cold and taking their blankets and heaters away, they have put prisoners under more pressures.

A Reported about the an Imprisoned Couple
HRANA News Agency – Hassan Sadeghi and Fateme Mosana, the imprisoned couple in the prisons of Rajai Shahr and Evin, were arrested in February 2012 due to holding the funeral ceremony for Mr. Sadeghi’s father, who was an opponent of the Iranian government and was arrested with his two children, 16 and 11 years old, and his house was sealed.

A Political Prisoner in Difficult Health Condition in Zahedan Prison
HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Azar, political prisoner who had been arrested by the Intelligence Office on charge of acting against national security, and held in solitary confinement for several months and then transferred to Zahedan prison has got infectious diseases in the jaw and mouth area since his detention at the Intelligence Office detention center. The infectious disease has led to his inadequate nutrition, but prison authorities have been indifferent to his health condition.

Kavan Mahmoudian and Na’im Ahmadpour Transferred to Sanandaj Prison
HRANA News Agency – Kavan Mahmoudian who had been arrested by Kamiaran Intelligence Office earlier on October 10, was transferred to Sanandaj Prison after being detained in a solitary confinement for two months, while another prisoner named Na’im Ahmadpour who had been arrested for unknown reasons by the Intelligence Office was also transferred to Sanandaj Prison after 20 days of detention at the Intelligence Office detention center.

Prisoners of Zahedan Prison Threatened not to Talk to Inspectors
HRANA News Agency – Zahedan prison, where there are many political and security detainees, has various problems due to its distance from the central, lack of oversight by the civil society and provincial deprivation, and has witnessed prisoners’ protests and their attempts to reach their voices in recent months aiming improvement in their situation in this prison. Eventually some officials were sent from capital to monitor the prisoners’ situation, but the prison officials threatened some prisoners who are on death raw trying to silence the prisoners, also disconnected the political prisoners’ ward’s telephones.
