HRANA News Agency – Bahman Ahmadi Amouyi, imprisoned journalist released two days after what it was on his sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Bahman Ahmadi Amuoyi released from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj after serving his sentence.
The imprisoned journalist had been sentenced to 5 years and 4 months in prison and should have been released on Thursday.
Later his wife, Jhila Baniya`ghoub told Deutsche Welle, “according to the sentence, Bahman should have been released on September 22, but persecutor’s office has calculated the furloughs which he received as absence, and announced October 2 as the releasing date. I personally checked the date with the office and they confirmed the date. But today they were saying we did not receive any order regarding his release”.
Bahman Ahmadi Amouyi is graduated on economics from Mazandaran University and had worked with newspapers like Jameie, Toos, Sobh Emruz, Nourooz, Shargh, Vaghaye Ettefaghiyyah and Sarmayeh.
