16 executions including 1 public hanging, 11 prisoners hanged in 1 day
HRANA News Agency – 16 prisoners have been hanged in different prisons while 15 others have been transferred to solitary confinements to be hanged during coming days.

Sunni Prisoner deprived of medical treatment
HRANA News Agency – A Sunni prisoner was prevented from getting medical treatment after he could not afford the medical fees, with officers refusing to let him contact his family to ask them for money.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Arash Sharifi, a Sunni prisoner awaiting execution in Iran, was sent to hospital on Monday, after months of being deprived of adequate medical treatment for a degenerative eye disorder. Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand returned to ward 350
HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand who was beaten and transferred to solitary confinement and later on to prison clinic, following the “Black Thursday”, was returned to ward 350 on May 5.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Sadigh Kaboodvand was transferred to solitary confinement from room 3, ward 350, and then he was taken to prison clinic. Eventually, he was returned to ward 350 while despite a lapse of time, there is still bruises on his right arm, ribs and left foot toes injuries. Sunni prisoner prevented from attending court
HRANA News Agency – A Sunni prisoner sentenced to death in Iran was prevented from attending court earlier this week after he refused to wear the prisoners’ uniform.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shahram Ahmadi, a Sunni prisoner awaiting execution in Rajai Shahr prison, was due to attend court on Monday. However, he refused to wear the prisoners’ uniform, which is reserved for convicted prisoners, and was therefore prevented from attending the court. He was then returned to his prison ward. Nasim Ashrafi arrested to begin her sentence
HRANA News Agency – Nasim Ashrafi, a Bahai from Tehran who was arrested in a wave of detentions of Bahais in Tehran, Mashhad and Shiraz in early July, 2012, was arrested on May 6, to begin serving her one-year sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), she was originally sentenced to 3 years in prison, in June 2013, but this was reduced by the review court. Sunni graduation ceremony cancelled
HRANA News Agency – The graduation ceremony for Sunni students at the Imam Shafi’i religious school in Kargan in Minab County, Hormozgan province, was cancelled following pressure from the Iranian authorities.

Amanullah Mostaqim returns to prison
HRANA News Agency – Amanullah Mostaqim one of the imprisoned staff members of the Bahai Open University (BIHE) in Iran, returned to prison on May 2, although he has a certificate from the Medical Examiner to say that he is unfit for prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), he was summoned by security officials and taken to prison when he responded. In recent weeks he has been receiving radiation therapy, and he suffers from a heart ailment. Doctors have told him he should live the rest of his life in a quiet environment without stress. Sunni youth detained for more than two months without charge
HRANA News Agency – Concerns are growing for the welfare of a Sunni youth who has been detained without charge in Iran for more than two months.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ahmad Sohrabi, the son of Yusef Sohrabi (a Sunni scholar who was executed in Iran in 2008), was arrested on 18 February 2014 in Iranshahr, Sistan-Baluchestan province. Witnesses say that he was blindfolded by Intelligence agents before being taken to an unknown location, with reports suggesting that he was being held ‘under pressure’ in the Ministry of Intelligence detention center in Iranshahr.
