Dozens Arrested and Summoned in Ahwaz

HRANA News Agency – Dozens of Arab civilians have been arrested by security forces in different parts of Ahwaz. Local sources estimate the number of detainees to be 24 in addition to 9 other who have been summoned.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), security forces arrested a large number of Arab civilians in Ahwaz, who mostly live in the neighborhood of Malashie of this city.

Local sources estimate the number of detainees to be 23. The names of 13 detainees are as follows:

  1. Riyaz Zahiri, 21 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  2. Javad Hashemi, 27 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  3. Hassan Haywi (al-Hayie), 28 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  4. Hassan Delphi, 23 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  5. Haidar Savari, 27 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  6. Milad Afravi, 22 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  7. Shakir Sharifi, 27 years old, from ain 2 urban special neighborhood in Ahwaz
  8. Yasser Sillavi, 27 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  9. Sajjad Nasiri (al-Hayie), 22 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  10. Abbas Sharifi, 21 years old, from ain 2 urban special neighborhood in Ahwaz
  11. Ali Bavi, 23 years old, from Alavi neighborhood in Ahwaz
  12. Yousef Khesraj, 20 years old, from Malashie neighborhood in Ahwaz
  13. Ahmad Heydari, 15 years old, from Goldasht neighborhood in Ahwaz

As it was noted that security forces had arrested Arab civilians of the city, who are mostly Sunni Muslims on Monday, August 28, 2017.

At least 9 others were summoned to security agencies at the same time. Their names are:

  1. Khosro Sa’edi (Abu Emad)
  2. Ahmad Daghghelah (Al-Halal Institute)
  3. Morteza Nisi
  4. Saleh Manabi
  5. Abdullah Sa’edi Abu Ta’ha (responsible for the website of AnalMasghef)
  6. Fahd Hemadi
  7. Aziz Kanani (Manager of Fenon Institute)
  8. Nabi Nisi (Manager of Moalem Institute)
  9. Hadi Sabei (Sabian in Ahwaz)

Another activist was arrested on Monday, August 28, 2017, in Ahwaz. Abdullah Chaldawi from Alavi neighborhood is the identity of this activist who has been arrested.
