HRANA – Colonel Dolati, the replacement Police Chief for the State of Kermanshah, announced that a man identified only by his initials, “M. N.”, has been arrested in Kermanshah on charges of “attempt to engage in armed operations.”

According to government controlled ILNA, police, intelligence and public security agents arrested the man following an order issued by the Lead Interrogator for Branch 9 of the General and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office for the State of Kermanshah to arrest individuals for alleged shootings.

The detained man is alleged to have intended to assassinate one of the judges in Kermanshah’s judiciary who is a member of the Dispute Resolution Council.

Based on the ILNA report, the authorities are claiming to have found a Colt pistol, two cylinders and 14 bullets after inspecting the defendant’s home.
