Mehdi Farahi Shandiz in Solitary Confinement since 26 Days ago
HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Farahi Shandiz, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, who was transferred to solitary confinement since December, still has not returned to the public ward.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mehdi Farahi Shandiz, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, from 31st December was transferred to solitary confinement, and there is no information about his condition.
One of his relatives told HRANA’s reporter, “Mehdi Farahi is held in solitary confinement from 31st December and on 3rd January; he was taken to, Revolutionary Court in Tehran for trial. But, they did not give us any information about the result of his trial, and said they will let him know about the outcome.”
It is to say, Mehdi Farahi Shandiz’s sentence of three years in prison on charges of “insulting the leadership and disrupting peace” ended on 25th October, but the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has kept this prisoner in an indeterminate state with the formation of new cases.
