Mohammad Hassan Yousefpoor Saifi at the Risk of Blindness

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Hassan Yousefpoor Saifi, political prisoner, is suffering from a rare blood disorder that affected his eyesight that can draw him blind.
According to the report of HRANA News Agency quoted from “Kalameh”, since several months ago Yousefpoor Seifi, has been suffering from a brain problem and after assessments and examinations it was found out that 80% of the retina of both eyes were destroyed.
However, based on the results of recent tests, the doctors say that he has been affected by “Behjat disease”.
Behjat is a rare disease against the immune system. This disease can attack the eyes, which can end to blindness.
Mohammad Hassan Yousefpoor Seifi also suffers from the complication of hypertension and cardiac arrhythmias and has already been admitted at hospital for several times in Cardiac clinic and doctors have identified him as a candidate for open heart surgery.
According to this report, while Yousefpoor Seifi has spent 2 years and 6 months of his sentences, but Tehran Prosecutor is still rejecting to give him medical leave.
Intelligence officials of Revolutionary Guards and the judiciary have said nothing about this political prisoner’s serious health condition although, it has been confirmed by the forensic that he cannot finish his sentence with this condition. However, confirming his medical leave would give some time to the authorities to avoid the blindness disaster of a political prisoner.
