HRANA News Agency – Tehran police chief declared that the police has arrested more than 500 homeless in Molawi St. during an operation on Saturday night.

According to Fars news, Hossein Sajedinia the Tehran police chief claimed that their forces arrested more than 500 homeless in an operation in Molawi St. and as well around 50 drug gangs have been arrested.

He also claimed that the arrested ones have been transferred to the addiction recovery camps and said “unfortunately the number of these camps are not enough and the authorities should be more cooperative in this case.”

“Some of these people will not recover completely because of lack of enough space in the camps and I do not have the exact numbers of them but the officials are responsible”, Sajedinia said.

“The operation will be continued and god willing as soon as possible the city will be clean without the addicts and drug gangs”, the police chief continued.

Sajedinia mentioned that this operation will be enforced in a particular way especially in west and north of Tehran.
