An Ordinary Prisoner on Hunger Strike at Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Payam A’varzamani who has been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment, has gone on hunger strike to protest against this heavy conviction since two weeks ago.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Payam A’varzamani, born in 1975, ordinary crime prisoner in Evin prison has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. Abduction following a domestic dispute has been stated as the accusation for this heavy sentence.
One of his relatives told HRANA’s reporter: “Payam A’varzamani has denied kidnapping accusation and he believes that he is innocent and there is no one to hear him, that’s why he has gone on hunger strike and now after two weeks hunger strike he is in a serious physical condition”.
