Peyman Mirzai Arrested and Transferred to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Peyman Mirzai, a follower of Halgheh theosophy, who was previously sentenced to lashes and fines, was summoned to the court on Tuesday and sent to quarantine ward of Evin prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Peyman Mirzai, a follower of Halgheh theosophy who was active in efforts to release Mohammad Ali Taheri, the founder of this group, after being summoned to the court was sent to Evin prison.
Mr. Mirzai was previously sentenced to one year in prison, 6 months of which was suspended, 74 lashes, and also fines, on charge of disrupting public order.
He was lashed and paid the fines in Evin court on August 7.
He was summoned again to the court for serving his prison sentence.
Mr. Mirzai is currently kept in quarantine ward of Evin prison.
