Sabri Hassanpour Tried in Tehran Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – On November 12, the trial of Sabri Hassanpour, spokesman for a political organization and the host of the satellite TV channel of Rahai, was held in branch 15 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, “along with insults and threats”, without any results.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on November 12, the trial of Sabri Hassanpour, spokesman for a political organization and the host of the satellite TV channel of Rahai, was held in branch 15 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Salavati.

A close source to Sabri Hassanpour told HRANA’s reporter about the court: “Mr. Hassanpour who suffers from asthma and heart disease, is in a bad health condition due to constant insults and mistreatment of Mr. Salvati, and left the court and the hearing didn’t have any results.”

The source told: “Judge Salvati told him ‘Why have you signed a letter of support of prisoners on hunger strike? So I’ll issue a heavy verdict.’”

It is worth mentioning, domestic media reported the arrest of Sabri Hassanpour, while some of close sources to Mr. Hassanpour claimed “he was abducted from Turkey during a meeting with his family and transferred to Iran”, the media said the activist went to Iran to meet his family and traveled to the cities of Tehran, Ahvaz, Shiraz, Isfahan and Karaj.

After six months since the arrest of Sabri Hassanpour, he was transferred to hall 10 of ward 8 of Evin prison.
