HRANA News Agency – A prisoner was executed in public in the city of Khoy, Qamsar square on October 26, 2017. At the same time, another prisoner was executed in Yazd. In spite of the obtaining consent and deadline for four prisoners in the Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj before the execution, four other prisoners charged with murder were executed on October 25, 2017.

According to three separate reports, six prisoners were executed in Iran in the last days of October.

Azerbaijani Radio and Television Center had reported, a prisoner was executed in public in the city of Khoy, Qamsar (Keshavarz) square on October 26, 2017. He was sentenced to death in public on charge of “rape”.

The news agency had mentioned, the prisoner was executed on charge of rape in the presence of the prosecutor, judicial authorities and police in the city of Khoy without mentioning the identity and details of the executed.

On the other hand, Iran Human Rights reported the execution of a prisoner in Yazd.

According to this report, a prisoner who was convicted to execution on charge of participation in the murder during a street strife was executed in Yazd central prison while the original killer has been released with satisfaction of complainants.

According to the report, this prisoner was hanged in Yazd central prison on October 24, 2017.

His name was Ali Salari.

On the other hand, according to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), four of the eight detainees who had been transferred for execution in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, were executed on October 23, 2017.

All four executed prisoners were sentenced to death on charge of murder.

HRANA has not been able to identify the prisoners so far.
