Mr. Babadi who was sentenced to 5 years in prison on the charge of blasphemy, recently was issued a verdict and sentenced to more seven years in prison on charges of assembly and collusion against national security and insulting the supreme leader.

The prisoner was arrested in June 2002 because of writing satirical pieces on the Facebook page “campaign of reminding Imam Naqi to the Shiites”.

He had said that as a result of this pressure and threats, his wife had a miscarriage while she was 4-month-pregnant.  Babadi in this regard says in his letter: “When the interrogator heard the news during our phone calls (my wife’s calls are tapped by the IRGC intelligence) came to me and expressed his delight saying that must have been the bastard child that suffered by this fate.”
