HRANA News Agency – Abdulfattah Soltani, a lawyer and prominent human rights defender who is enduring his seventh year of imprisonment, went to Evin Prison by the end of his furlough.

Imprisoned Since 2000 Days; Abdulfattah Soltani

HRANA News Agency – Abdulfattah Solatni, lawyer and human rights activist who has been in prison since 2011, has been diagnosed with different diseases like acute neurological diseases, colitis and fluctuation in blood pressure. Mr. Soltani who has passed his 2000th day of imprisonment, faces rejection of his parole.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abdulfattah Soltani, is one of the human rights lawyers. He was arrested on September 10, 2011, and sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment and 20 years deprivation of working as an attorney, for being the winner of human rights prize of Nuremburg, having interviews with foreign media about his clients’ cases, and partnership in funding the association of human rights defenders of Iran. Political Prisoners Express their Condolences to Abdulfattah Soltani

HRANA News Agency – A group of current and former political prisoners of Rajaei Shahr prison, who have served along with Abdulfattah Soltani, imprisoned lawyer, in a letter expressed their sorrow for the loss of his mother and thanked him for his continuous efforts for human rights.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), following the death of Abdulfattah Soltani’s mother, a group of political prisoners of Rajaei Shahr prison expressed their condolences and thanked him for accepting to be their attorney and also, his efforts for human rights. Abdulfattah Soltani’s Sentence Reduced To 10 Years

HRANA News Agency – By applying article 134, the sentence of Abdulfattah Soltani is reduced to 10 years, and his deprivation from work has been reduced to 2 years.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), this imprisoned lawyer and the founding member of Human Rights Defenders Association, was sentenced to 13 years in prison and 20 years deprivation from working as an attorney in 2012. But, after applying the Accumulation of Charges act and article 134, his imprisonment is reduced to 10 years and his deprivation time is reduced to 2 years.
