Families Commemorate Victims of Mass-Executions of Summer 1988 in Khavaran

HRANA News Agency – Some survivors and families of political prisoners who were executed in summer 1988, gathered in Khavaran cemetery for the 28th anniversary of this massacre and commemorated their beloved family members and friends by laying flowers and singing songs. Security forces asked them to leave after a while.

The anniversary of 1988 mass executions is still prohibited

HRANA News Agency – The security forces and polices prevented the anniversary of 1st of September ceremony in Khavaran cemetery.

 

According to the social networks and Jaras, the agents prevented the families of executed prisoners of 1988 to enter Khavaran cemetery, however, the number of security agents were less compared with the past years. (more…)

Security Forces Prevent 22nd Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony of 88’ Massacre

HRANA- Security forces prevented a remembrance ceremony on the 22nd anniversary of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners, arresting a number of participants.This morning, families of the political prisoners massacred in 1988 attempted to gather in Khavaran Cemetery to honor their loved ones as they do every year.

According to the weblog of Human Rights and Democracy Activists, in addition to arresting some of the young participants, security forces proceeded to confiscate the personal belongings of those present for the ceremony.
