Activists Protested in Marivan to Ignoring the Hunger Strikes in Prisons

HRANA News Agency – Activists in Marivan held a gathering in support of Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand and Jafar Azim Zadeh, the two prisoners on hunger strike and also in protest against lashing the workers of Aghdareh mine on June 4, 2016.

Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand Returned to the Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and human rights activist, whom had been taken urgently to Taleghani hospital after deterioration of his physical condition, was returned to the prison the day after. He is still on hunger strike, and his condition is critical.
According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and head of the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization, who, despite suffering from different and serious diseases, has gone on hunger strike to protest against his new case being made against him, since 8th May, following deterioration of his physical condition was transferred to Taleghani hospital and the day after, without any changes in his condition was returned to the prison. Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand on Hunger Strike in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and head of the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization, despite suffering from many diseases in advanced stages, has gone on hunger strike to protest the recent case against him, since May 8th. His relatives have explained the concerns in an interview with HRANA.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the family of Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist in ward 350 of Evin Prison, who is on hunger strike to protest against his situation and the new case being formed against him, are worried about the new case and his health condition. Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand in Critical Health Condition in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and human rights activist in Ward 350 of Evin prison, is reported to be in critical health condition. Despite the lack of adequate medical facilities at the prison the prison authorities refused to send him to the hospital.

Amnesty- Iran must release journalists detained in newspaper office raids

Twelve journalists were arrested in Iran this weekend

HRANA News Agency– Amnesty International -Iran must release all journalists being held solely for carrying out their legitimate work, Amnesty International urged after at least 14 reporters were arrested in the past three days amid police raids on newspaper offices.

The journalists are reportedly accused of cooperating with “anti-revolutionary” Persian-language media organizations outside Iran.
