1 Kulbar Killed and 4 Wounded by the Border Guards

HRANA News Agency – On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, a Kulbar was killed and four others were seriously injured after being shot by border guards in Salmas.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, German Amini son of Vahdat,36, from Dshvan  village of Salmas city along with his brother Rahim Amini, 33, Karim Etmani son of Farzami, 38, Kohzad Etmani son of Afroz, 26, and Samad Gol Mohamadi son of Ali, 26, were shot by IRGC border troops.

An informed source by announcing the news said to HRANA’s reporter: “After the shooting German Amini died and four other citizens were seriously wounded. The wounded were taken to a hospital in Salmas city. Their situation is dire.”

The source added: “German Amini was married and had three children. By frequent follow-up of his family, the security forces and the army of the city finally delivered his body to them few days ago.”

The close source to the victims at the end expressed that their only crime was being Kullbar and said: “After the incident, the army forces in the city and suburbs tried to create a checkpoint at the entrance of the road leading to the city. By this pretext, they harassed the citizens and stopped the cars.”

It should be noted that Kullbers are frontier citizens who carry goods on their backs, they carry tens of kilograms of imported products, including tea, audio and video equipment, and thereby provide their livelihood. The people work in impassable mountainous areas despite the risk of getting caught in minefields and ambushes of security forces.
