HRANA News Agency – Two prisoners with drug-related charges were executed in Semnan prison. At the same time at least eight prisoners were hanged in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj on charge of murder.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the death sentence of two drug offenders were executed in Semnan prison on February 15, 2017.

Javad Okhtizadeh and another prisoner from Damghan are the identities of these prisoners which have been authenticated by HRANA.

These prisoners who had been transferred to solitary confinement, had their last visit with their families one day before execution.

It should be mentioned that at the same time these two prisoners’ execution, at least 8 other prisoners were executed in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj.
