HRANA News Agency – Three Baha’i residents of Mashhad namely, Khashayar Tafazoli, Shayan Tafazoli, and Sina Aghdas Zadeh were sentenced to one year imprisonment, on charge of “acting against national security by teaching the Baha’i Faith”.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the sentences of three Baha’i residents of Mashhad namely, Khashayar Tafazoli, Shayan Tafazoli, and Sina Aghdas Zadeh were announced on Saturday, April 22.
According to the verdict, each of these civilians has been sentenced to one year imprisonment on charge of acting against national security (through teaching the Baha’i Faith).
The trial of these Baha’is was held in two sessions in branch eight of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad, presided by judge Mansouri, in February.
The three civilians had been arrested by the security guards during a visit to the homes of two Baha’i residents of Mashhad, at 8 am, on Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
It is worth mentioning that at the moment members of another Baha’i family, Manochehr Kholosi and his two daughters, Nika and Nava Kholosi, are serving their imprisonment sentence in Vakil Abad Prison of Mashhad.
