Adnan Rahmat-Penah begins one-year sentence in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – Adnan Rahmat-Penah, a Bahai from Shiraz, reported to Adel-Abad prison on November 11, to begin serving a one-year sentence.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), he was arrested during a raid on his home on December 12, 2012, and taken to the Ministry of Intelligence’s Detention Facility 100 in Shiraz.

He was held for 186 days without trial, before being freed on bail.

He was later sentenced to one year in prison for “propaganda against the regime,” and the review court confirmed this sentence on May 22, 2014.
