Ali Ahmed Solayman Transferred to an Unknown Location

HRANA News Agency – Ali Ahmed Solayman, political prisoner in Central Prison of Urmia, has been transferred to an unknown location.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Ahmad Solayman, political prisoner in Central Prison of Urmia and Iraqi citizen who has been sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court and his court verdict has been approved by the Supreme Court, was taken to an unknown location on 3rd February.
This political prisoner who was held before in hall 12 (Hall of political prisoners) of Urmia prison, has been alleged of killing two members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards during an armed operation.
Formerly, one of his relatives had told HRANA’s reporter: “Judge of his case, has issued the death sentence without any evidences of his participation in the operation which led to the death of two IRGC members, but just because Revolutionary Guards’ intelligence service asked him.”
This source also added: “last time that this prisoner was transferred to Urmia Intelligence office, he was asked to give the name of the people who had murdered those two members of the Revolutionary Guards otherwise accusation of murder will be related to his case.”
Ali Ahmad Soleyman was deprived of the right to hire a solicitor and because of the foreign nationality no one had accepted or followed his case.
He was tried in early February 2012 on charges of connection with Ahmed Shaheed and overseas media and propaganda against the regime from inside the prison and was sentenced to one year of imprisonment.
This political prisoners’ transfer to solitary confinement, has been a cause of concern for his close relatives and other political prisoners at Urmia prison.
