Aliasghar Mahmoudian Has to Serve More Due To Medical Furlough

HRANA News Agency –Aliasghar Mahmoudian has to serve between 4 to 6 months more in prison as compensation for his medical furlough and the time that he was outside of the prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Aliasghar Mahmoudian, 63, political prisoner who is suffering from prostate, hear artery disease, hemorrhoids and respiratory disease, has to serve between 4 to 6 months more in Semnan prison, than his 6 years sentence as compensation for extension of his medical furlough and not being back to prison.
A relative of this political prisoner mentioned that “within four days his illness cannot be treated” and with highlighting the point that the authorities are aware of medical condition of this political prisoner said, “we acted under the monitoring Mr. Khodabakhshi and forensic. We have been in contact with Mr. Khodabakhshi during these time. Mr. Khodabakhshi was saying that that the treatment would take time. Finally, because the authorities accepted that Mr. Mahmoudian is under medical treatments, this issue would take some time and Mr. Mahmoudian could not be back to prison”.
This source also told to HRANA, “of course not all of the medical process has been done. But after few months he will be back to prison”.
Need to be mentioned Aliasghar Mahmoudian does not have the proper physical condition for serving the sentence in Semnan prison.
Aliasghar Mahmoudian was arrested in autumn 2009 and sentenced in branch number 15 of the revolutionary court of Tehran, on charge of sacrilege, by advocacy of MEK to 6 years in prison.
Worth noting that sacrilege is among the articles that has been modified in new Islamic Penal Code, issued in 2013, and according to Iran’s and international accepted legal principles, his sentence has to change.
Semnan prison is an old Caravanserai which has been changed without proper facilities. High population, murder and rape has repeated many times in this prison, and once, using drug by other prisoners endangered Mr. Mahmoudian to the brink of death.
