Batir Shah Mammadov’s Plea on the 20th Day of Hunger Strike / Video Footage

HRANA News Agency – Batir Shah Mammadov, Turkmen citizen who has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on spying charges is on hunger strike demanding to be extradited to his country on the basis of the current agreements between Iran and Turkmenistan after 7 years imprisonment. He explained his condition and case in Persian which is difficult for a foreign citizen and also in Turkmen language on the twentieth day of his hunger strike in a video which was recorded last week and delivered to HRANA.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Batir Shah Mammadov, a citizen of Turkmenistan was arrested on espionage charges in Zahedan after sealing some rare metal in July 2009 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Mr. Shah Mammadov’s demand is to be extradited to his country based on agreements between the two countries of Iran and Turkmenistan, he already had written an open letter to the Iranian people and asked for help.
