According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohsen Daneshpour Moghaddam, elderly death row political prisoner in Evin prison was admitted at Sina hospital in Tehran for knee surgery.
Remarkably, the last verdict of political prisoner and his son, Ahmad Daneshpour Moghaddam after spending nearly seven years in prison, is death.
The family of the political prisoner repeatedly referred to Tehran prosecutor, but their effort did not end to a positive result. The case of Daneshpour Moghaddam who was deprived of having lawyer and is unaware of the case and possible changes, is in the Supreme Court.
In his son’s last meeting with Mr. Hajjilu representative of the prosecutor, he responded: “The cases of your father and brother are missing.”
Mohsen Daneshpour Moghaddam, 73, was arrested on December 27, 2009 and sentenced to death on charge of “Muharebeh through membership at groups opposed to the system” at branch 28 of Tehran Revolutionary Court and the verdict was confirmed by the appeals court.
