HRANA – Ali Ahmadi, a retired teacher residing in Nurabad Mamasani and currently held in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz, sustained physical injuries yesterday after being beaten by a prison official.
According to HRANA, on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Ali Ahmadi, a retired teacher from Nurabad Mamasani, was beaten by an official at Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.
A source close to Ahmadi’s family confirmed the incident to HRANA, stating: “On Sunday, November 1, Mr. Ahmadi was beaten by a prison official for unknown reasons while following up on medical treatment for his eye condition, despite having authorization to see a doctor. As a result, he sustained injuries to his head, face, nose, and back.”
The source further added: “In addition to his eye problems and a history of two surgical procedures involving his eye and prostate, Mr. Ahmadi also suffers from heart and kidney diseases. Nevertheless, prison authorities continue to prevent his transfer to medical facilities outside the prison.”
