HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Hassan Yousefpoor Saifi, the human rights activist, is on day 13th of his hunger strike in Evin Prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), this prisoner has started his hunger strike on November 22, in response to medical treatment prevention by the persecutor.
He had been transferred to Modarres hospital twice and each time has been returned to prison after examination and cardiac scan. According to specialist physicians of Modarres hospital, he should be sent to hospital for continuation of his treatment.
He is sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison, on charge of disturbing national security by being a member of human right activists in Iran, blasphemy by publishing comments in his weblog and propaganda and dissemination of lies against government, in a court by presidency of judge Salavati, in branch number 15 of revolutionary court, on August 20, 2012. In response to falsifying and documentation for human right activists, not having to right to have an attorney and corrupted system of trials, he did not ask for appeal, and as a matter of fact, he was summoned to Evin prison, on September 8, 2012.
