Abolfazl Abedini on furlough after 4 years imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Abolfazl Abedini, the political prisoner in Karoon prison in Ahwaz, was sent to furlough after 4 years.
 
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abolfazl Abedini Nasr, the Khoozestani journalist, has been sent to furlough for the first time after 4 years.
 
Abolfazl Abedini was arrested at his house in Ramhormoz city while being beaten severely, following a conspiracy scenario of intelligence service against the human rights activists, on March 2, 2010, and transferred to ward 2-A of Evin prison.
 
While he was being interrogated, branch number one of Ahwaz revolutionary court sentenced him to 11 years in prison on charge of membership in illegal group and relationship with conflicting regimes which was confirmed by the appeal court as well.
 
He is also sentenced to one year in prison by a court in Tehran and has to serve 12 years in prison in total.
