HRANA News Agency – Ahmed Shaheed, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, will go to the U.S.A. and Canada to gather reports about the human rights violation in Iran.
According to a report by V.O.A Persian, Mr. Shaheed will talk with the Iranians in these countries. He will pay special attention to the witnesses and victims. The result of this investigation mission which starts from today will be reported to the United National general assembly.
Meanwhile, some diplomats in the United Nations have told Reuters that the Islamic Republic of Iran will sign up for the membership of the U.N. Human rights council in the same gathering. There will be 14 empty chairs in this council from January for 3 years. Syria is also trying to enter this council.
