Alireza Ahmadi Transferred to a Hospital in Tehran
HRANA News Agency – Alireza Ahmadi, imprisoned in ward 7 of Evin prison, was transferred to hospital due to deterioration of his physical condition.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this prisoner was transferred to Taleghani Hospital in Tehran handcuffed and in prison uniform to be assessed and have an ultrasound scan, on 2nd August.
Alireza Ahmadi, 30-year-old prisoner in ward 7 of Evin prison, is experiencing a very hard situation due to his dislocation problem that has been experienced since childhood and lack of medical care by the prison infirmary and following an acute deterioration on his illness.
According to the reports, Alireza Ahmadi had been given Methadone as a pain killer on daily basis by Evin prison’s clinic from the time that he had arrived in the prison and then taking it for a long time had a bad influence on him so that he is suffering from severe mental disorders caused by methadone.
This prisoner who had been sentenced by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran for cooperating with hostile states to 4 years imprisonment, was called to endure his sentence in Evin prison on 29th September 2012.
