Amin Anvari Arrested At His Home In Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Amin Anvari, civil and student activist was arrested by the security forces and his house was investigated.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), four vehicles owned by the security forces went to the house of Amin Anvari, civil and student activist of Amir kabir University, with a court order that was issued by Branch number 2 of Evin court, and after seizing some of the properties, transferred him to an unknown location.

According to the same report, during the house investigation, the lap-top, cell phones and computer system of this civil activist was seized by the security forces.

Amin Anvari was summoned to the court on October 3 and was supposed to go to the court on the next day. But in the same morning he was arrested by the security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

This civil rights activist and student of Amir Kabir University was summoned by branch number 26 of the revolutionary court in August.

His court session was recently held on branch number 26 of the revolutionary court and he was charged with propaganda against the regime, insulting the supreme leader and insulting official authorities (Mesbah Yazdi) in Facebook and was sentenced to two years and six months in prison that is suspended for 5 years.

Amin Anvari Rostami, 21 years old and student of 5th semester of software engineering of Amir Kabir University, was arrested by the security police and by an order from branch number 13 of Evin court on December 30, 2014. He was released on 30 million bail after interrogations, while he was summoned through a phone call for an “administrative issue”.

According to a close source, “propaganda against the regime, insulting supreme leader and official authorities in Facebook, supporting LGBTs and Baha’is and heretics like Shahin Najafi” were part of this young student’s allegations.
