Arjang Davoodi transferred to ward 8 of Evin prison

HRANA News Agency – Arjang Davoodi has been transferred to section 8 of Evin prison on April 30, 2014.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Arjang Davoudi, the political prisoner who had been transferred from Bandar Abbad prison to Tehran last week was transferred to section 8 of Evin prison which is the section of foreigner prisoners.
He was transferred first to the police station number 106 in Tehran and then to the branch 26 of the revolutionary court of Tehran and was charged with insulting the Supreme Leader.
Judge Pir Abbasi had ordered him to be taken to ward 209 and then to ward 2-A for more interrogations but the authorities of these 2 wards refused to accept him and his was finally taken to ward 8.
He had been transferred from ward 12 of Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj to solitary confinements of ward 209 of Evin prison last June. After spending 127 days in solitary confinement he was exiled to Bandar Abbas prison.
Arjang Davoodi was first sentenced to 10 years in prison but during the imprisonment he was charged and tried again and sentenced to 20 years and 8 months in prison.
