Faran Hessami Granted a 4-Day Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Faran Hessami, who is in Evin prison serving a four-year sentence for educational activities with the Bahai Open University (BIHE), has been granted a 4-day furlough covering the Naw Ruz period.

Another Bahai Home Raided in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – On the morning of March 16, intelligence agents in the city of Shiraz raided the home of Mr. Karamat Amiri, a 62-year old Bahai.

5 Political Prisoners Returned to Public Ward in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – 5 political prisoners in ward 7, Quarantine, in Evin prison, who were taken to solitary confinements last week, because of complaining, regarding the prison hygiene situation and other problems, were returned to their previous ward.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), last week, Amir Dorbin Ghaziani, Samko Khelghati, Salar Sotodeh, Omid Zarei Nejad and Mohammad Shojaei were taken to solitary confinements following their protest to the hygiene condition and other problems in Quarantine ward 7. A Prisoner Hanged in Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – A prisoner, who had been charged with drug related crime, was executed in the prison of Adel Abad, in Shiraz.

Asadullah Asadi Deprived of Medical Leave

HRANA News Agency – Despite severe physical and psychological condition of Asadullah Asadi, Azerbaijani cultural activist, Tehran prosecutor objected his request for Norouz leave.

3 Afghan and 1 Iranian Prisoner Hanged in Zahedan Prison

HRANA News Agency – Four prisoners, including three Afghan citizens convicted of drug-related crimes were executed in Zahedan prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Saturday 7th of March, four prisoners convicted of drug-related crimes were hanged in the central prison of Zahedan. The executed Afghan citizens were identified as Seyed Alam Uzbek (26), Nasimullah Uzbek (25) and Sultan Uzbek (30 years old) and the fourth Iranian prisoner was Khaleghdaad Gomshadzehi (60 years old). Abdulfatah Sultani Deprived of Medical Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Medical leave permission for Abdulfatah Sultani, imprisoned lawyer, is still rejected by prosecution authorities, despite his serious health condition and medical repeated statements.

Latest Information on Athena Farghdani’s Status

HRANA News Agency – Athena Faraghdani, who had been transferred to a two-person cell in ward 2-A of the Revolutionary Guards, is waiting for her trial.

A Prisoner Committed Suicide in the Prison of Bandar Abbas

HRANA News Agency – A prisoner in the central prison of Bandar Abbas, committed suicide and died.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Masood Emam Reza, a 45-year-old prisoner, who was injured during the war between Iran and Iraq, committed suicide with pills in the Central Prison of Bandar Abbas and died.
