At Least 1 Prisoner Hanged in Isfahan

HRANA News Agency – Last Wednesday a prisoner with charges related to drugs, was executed in central prison of Isfahan.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a prisoner identified as Solaiman Ahmadi, who was sentenced to death for drug related charges, was executed last Wednesday at dawn by hanging, on central prison of Isfahan. A Report on the Situation of 9 Imprisoned Dervishes

HRANA News Agency – The following is a report on the situation of 9 Gonabadi Dervish prisoners in Evin Prison in Tehran and Nezam prison in Shiraz, who have been sentenced to a total of 64 years imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Gonabadi Dervish prisoners in Evin prison in Tehran and in Nezam prison in Shiraz have been sentenced to long term imprisonments while they have inappropriate condition and need special medical treatment and care. Rozita Vaseghi Freed after 5 Years Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Rozita Vaseghi, a Bahai from Mashhad was freed on the evening of January 21, after completing her five-year imprisonment with hard labour in Vakil-Abad prison, in Mashhad.

HRANA News Agency – The following is a monthly report summarizing the human rights status in Iran in December 2014/ January 2015 (Solar calendar month of Dey). This report has been prepared by the Office of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists Association of Iran. Considering the ongoing suppression and ban on independent human rights activist organizations in Iran, this report may not be considered a comprehensive and complete reflection of the current situation of human rights in Iran. It should be noted that the department of Statistics also publishes an annual report about the human rights conditions in Iran in the form of an analytical and statistical report. Sunni Imam Severely Beaten in Iran

HRANA News Agency – A Sunni Imam from Iran’s Kurdish minority was left unconscious in a field in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province after being interrogated and savagely beaten by plain-clothed officers on Monday 19 January 2015.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Hosseinzadeh, the Imam of the Khankandi village mosque in the city of Miandoab, was pursued by plain-clothed armed officers near the village of Dash Band on the Bukan-Miandoab road on Monday evening. Behfar Khanjani Denied Family Visits

HRANA News Agency – Behfar Khanjani, a Bahai prisoner of conscience serving a five-year sentence in Seman’s central prison, has been denied the right to receive family visits as a punishment for writing a letter to Dr. Jahangiri, the head of Iran’s Prison Association.
