HRANA News Agency – Susan Tebyaniyan, a Bahai from Semnan, was arrested in her home on the evening of May 31st.

Sunni activist imprisoned since 2012 faces new allegations

HRANA News Agency – Despite being imprisoned for the past two years, a Sunni prisoner has been accused of involvement in a killing that took place less than two months ago.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Malek Mohammad Abadian, a Sunni prisoner of conscience held in Zahedan Central Prison, is facing new charges of involvement in the killing of a teacher who was shot by unknown men on 15 April 2014. Appeal Court confirmed the sentences of 3 Sunni citizens

HRANA News Agency- The court verdict of 23 months Imprisonment for Danial Babayani, Nematollah Kami and Habibollah Beigzadeh was verified by the Appeal Court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), these three Sunnite Turkamans were arrested because of activities in cyberspace, particularly Facebook and each of them was sentenced to 23 months imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court of Gonbad, branch one, on December the 19th, last year. Shahram Chiniyan transferred to security block at Rajai Shahr prison

HRANA News Agency – Shahram Chiniyan Miandavab, a Tehran Bahai serving an 8-year sentence, has been transferred from block 12 Raja’i Shahr prison, which holds male prisoners of conscience including many Bahais, to block 1 of the prison, which is reserved for those convicted of serious crimes such as murder, rape and armed robbery. No news on condition of Sunni youth arrested four days ago

HRANA News Agency – There has been no news on the condition or whereabouts of a Sunni youth who was arrested in Iran four days ago.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 21-year old Abdol Ghani Wahid was arrested on Sunday by agents from the Ministry of Intelligence in a raid on his father’s home in the village of Tanbalan in the Zarabad district, Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran. Court hearing for seven Sunni prisoners ‘deliberately’ cancelled

HRANA News Agency – A court hearing to hear the charges against seven Sunni prisoners of conscience was cancelled after the court-appointed lawyers and representatives from the Ministry of Intelligence failed to turn up.

Saeed Abedini beaten in hospital and returned to prison

HRANA News Agency- Saeed Abedini, Reverend prisoner who had been transferred to the Dey Hospital was beaten by transfer officers and was returned to prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Reverend Saeed Abedini who was admitted to the Dey hospital for the last two months, after being beaten in the hospital, was returned to Rajai Shahr prison, Karaj city. 4 Sunni teachers fired from their jobs

HRANA News Agency – Three Sunni teachers have been fired from their teaching jobs in the cities of Sardasht and Bukan in the West Azerbaijan province of Iran.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shoresh Mostafa Zadeh (who has 12 years of teaching experience), Ebrahim Rostami (10 years experience) and Fereydoun Ali Pour (4 years experience), were fired by the Department of Education upon the orders of the Ministry of Intelligence in Bukan. Sunni mosque shut down by security forces

HRANA News Agency – Masjid Rizvanshahr, a Sunni mosque in Talesh, Gilan province, was closed down by Iranian security forces on 19 May 2014.

Said Rezai denied medical treatment

HRANA News Agency – On May 19, Said Rezai, one of the seven Yaran (national facilitators) who are now entering their seventh year in prison, was to be transferred from Raja’i Shahr prison to hospital.
