Hamid Allahverdi Pour Put on Trial in Ahar

HRANA News Agency – On March 15, 2017, the trial of Hamid Allahverdi Pour with new charges was held in the Revolutionary Court in Ahar.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the last hearing of Hamid Allahverdi Pour Turkish (Azeri) activist who had been summoned to the Court in Ahar with new charges was held in the Revolutionary Court in Ahar on March 14, 2017.
In addition to the “assembly and collusion against national security”, the charge of “propaganda against the system by disseminating petitions,” was added to his case.
Allahverdi Pour was arrested along with 30 others for their involvement in street protests on November 9, 2015 in Ahar and after six days of detention in prison, he was released on the bail.
The protests took place in several cities against the offensive parts of Fitile TV program.
Hamid Allahverdi Pour graduated in Turkology, is a law student in Tabriz University and activist from Naghade.
