An impriosned labor activist transferred to ward 209 of Evin prison

HRANA News Agency – Behnam Ibrahim Zadeh, the labor activist and political prisoner of ward 350 of Evin prison has been transferred to solitary confinement of ward 209.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Ibrahim Zadeh, has been summoned to Shahid Moghadas court of Evin and then transferred to solitary confinement of ward 209, on May 3rd.

The reason of this transfer is unknown yet.

Behnam Ibraim Zadeh, the labor activist has been sentenced to 5 years in prison on charge of collusion against the government and is serving his 4th year in prison. He and 9 other political prisoners of ward 350 were taken back to this ward after nearly 15 days of solitary confinement in ward 240 of Evin prison.

Behnam Ibrahim Zadeh was arrested on June 12, 2010 by security forces and was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the revolutionary court but this sentence was reduced to 5 years in court of appeal.
