Jafar Rostami Rad Arrested in Astara

HRANA News Agency – Jafar Rostami Rad, civil activist, was arrested in the morning of 14th July, by the border intelligence agents in city of Astara and after primary interrogation was transferred to the Revolutionary Court in this city.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this civil activist informed his family of his release on a bail of hundred million Rials, through a phone call, but there is no information about his location, and the possible charges, so far.
Jafar Rostami Rad, is an undergraduate of mathematics from Mohaghegh Ardabili University and currently is a student of Industrial Engineering at the University of Payam Noor of Ardabil who has been threatened and detained repeatedly by the security forces, due to his civil activities. The last time, this 27-year-old activist, had been arrested and detained along with several others, was in trekking the Peak of Sabalan Mountain in Ardebil that had been organized by Azerbaijani activists.
