A labor activist is still in solitary confinement of ward 209

HRANA News Agency – Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, the labor activist, is still kept in the solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin Prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Ibrahimzadeh was summoned by the authorities in prison’s court, the Shahid Moghadas, and then transferred to solitary confinement in ward 209, which is governed by the intelligence service.

One of his relatives told HRANA’s reporter, “last Thursday we went to Evin prison for the visit, but they did not allow us”.

This source also said, “Behnam had called home yesterday and we are concerned his condition”.

Behnam Ibramzadeh, the labor activist, who is serving his 5 years in prison sentence was arrested by security forces on June 12, 2010 and charged with collusion and propaganda against the government. First, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison by revolutionary court which was reduced to 5 years by the appeal court.
