At Least 7 Prisoners Executed in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – At least 7 prisoners who had been sentenced to death on charge of homicide, were executed in Rajai Shahr prison. Meanwhile execution of Mehdi Bohlouli who has committed murder when he was 17 years old, was stopped again.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), at least 7 death row prisoners with homicide charges including 2 women were executed in Rajai Shahr prison.

HRANA has identified these prisoners as: Ali Maleki, Shayan Shaddel, Arash (Mahmood) Bayat, Ali Jafari, and Mohammad Jegarkay, in addition to 2 female prisoners whose identities remained unknown.

Among 14 prisoners who had been transferred to solitary confinement, Mehdi Bohlouli and Majid Agha Rahimi returned to their wards. But there is no information about the faith of Vali Khazaei, Maziar Alaeibakhsh, Mahdi Rashidian, Moharam Abdi and Mohammadbagher Azimi.

Among prisoners who were executed, Ali Jegarkay, was released with the same case after serving 4 years in prison. But after few years he was arrested again and transferred to prison, and finally executed after 8 years.

Among the prisoners who returned to ward, Mehdi Bohlouli has committed murder when he was 17 and has been in prison for the past 15 years.
