HRANA News Agency – Masoud Bastani, the imprisoned journalist, has come to furlough from Rajai Shahr prison.

Bastani had come to furlough after 3 years and a half imprisonment last March but had to return to prison some days before the presidential elections in June to serve the rest of his 6 years imprisonment sentence.

He had been arrested on July 5, 2009 and was sentenced to 6 years of prison on charge of propaganda against the regime, colluding and gathering to act against the national security and disturbing the public order. He was in the Evin prison till February 2010 but the authorities transferred him to Rajai Shahr prison illegally.

Mahsa Amrabadi, Masoud Bastani’s wife, has been arrested in June 2009 and was under arrest in Evin solitaries for almost 3 months.

She was arrested once more by the intelligence of IRGC in March 2011 charged with participating in the demonstrations while she was in her car far from the events. She was tried by Judge Pir Abbasi and sentenced to 2 years of prison and 4 years of suspended prison. She has served 1 year of it.
