HRANA News Agency – The court session of Misagh Yazdannejad was held on Tuesday February 16th, in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court. The imprisoned student’s sentence of 13 years imprisonment was rejected by the Supreme Court in its 9th year and his case is scheduled to be treated again.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Misagh Yazdannejad had been arrested on September 10, 2007 and was sentenced to 13 years in prison by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Salvati. The verdict was confirmed by Branch 36 of the appeals court.
He was charged with attending the 19th anniversary of the massacre of political prisoners and supporting the PMOI.
He had already served more than 8 years when his retrial was accepted and the issued verdict was rejected by Branch 14 of the Supreme Court.
Yazdannejad was transferred from hall 12 of Rajai Shahr prison to ward 2-A of the IRGC in Evin prison and is still being kept in this ward.
